Web Site HelpThis page lists a bit of information and links that may be useful to visitors to my Microsoft Works web site. This is NOT a place to find help with Works in general; for that, try my Works FAQs or send me email. I am not an employee of Microsoft Corporation in any way, shape, or form. I don't agree with any anti-competitive practices Microsoft might have in enganged in in the past or are currently engaging in. I much prefer Macintosh and UNIX systems to Microsoft Windows. I am just a Microsoft Works user trying to help other Works users, since Microsoft, for some reason, seems reluctant to. I mainly use Works 4.5 for Windows under Windows 98 ( running either under VirtualPC on my iMac, or on an old 166Mhz Pentium ). I also frequently use Works 4.0 for Macintosh on my iMac and my PowerBook 5300. The biggest part of this site is templates to be used with Microsoft Works. They are available on my site for the following versions of Works:
Note: Not all files are available for all versions. The files for the DOS and Windows versions of the files are available in .zip files; you will need to uncompress them with Aladdin Expander ( Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP) or Aladdin UnStuff PC ( DOS/Windows 3.1 ). If you need a more complete archive solution for Windows, you can't beat PowerArchiver. The Macintosh files are available as StuffIt files. You'll need StuffIt Expander or a similar utility to uncompress them. For what it's worth, I build and maintain this site using mainly BBEdit Lite on my iMac or PowerBook 5300, or using Arachnophilia on my Windows machine. Starting in May of 2001, there are sponsor links on the I Use Microsoft Works web site. I can't truthfully say that it costs a lot to maintain this site, but it does take some time and I do have to pay for the net access and web hosting, and I'm hoping that a few useful advertisements might earn some revenue. So, if you find this site useful, please follow one of the links and buy something :-).
