Oil Pan Tap
Probably one of the most intimidating things about a blower install is putting the drain fitting in the oil pan. After doing it, I can honestly say it was a piece of cake! Just have to take a few small precautions and you will be good to go. This page is not meant to be used as a replacement to your instruction manual, I would recomend doing exactly what the manual says. This is just how I did it, use it for reference purposes only.
In the begining..... Get the right tools!!

I used 3 punches to get the hole to the right size. On the left is the first punch I used, small diameter with a sharp tip used to actually puncture the oil pan. In the middle is the second punch I used to open it up alittle more for the BIG punch. And on the left is obviously the BIG punch that sets the hole to the proper size. It is a 3/8 punch. Each of the punches should be hammered in until the portion with the sqaure edges is right up to the pan.

*NOTE* Immediatly after the first small hole is put in the pan(actually right after you break the skin of the pan) take a piece of wire( a hanger works good) and stick it in the hole to besure there is NOTHING in the way that could be damaged by the puches! you may need to turn the motor over to make sure everything is clear.
This is the hole after the first punch went through. Notice I removed the paint, the directions didnt say to do so, but with the metal being streched like it is, I didnt want to have any paint chip off and fall in the pan.

Looks scary huh!?!  This is the big one! Due to its length its  agood idea to TRIPLE check that you have nothing in the way inside the pan. To make sure I didnt get too close for comfort, I angled the punch down alittle to leave plenty of room between in and the internal parts. And below is the hole thats left!! Its alittle blury, but I am not going to take the car back apart to get a better shot :)
