Dads Farewell

If I should ever leave you, whom I love.
To go along the Silent Way, grieve not.
Nor speak of me with tears,
But laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you there.

I'd come - I'd come could I but find a way.
But would not tears and grief be barriers?
And when you hear a song or see a bird I loved,
Please do not let the thought of me be sad.
For I am loving you just as I always have.
You were so good to me!

There are so many things I wanted still to do -
So many things to say to you.
Remember that I did not fear -
It was just leaving you that was so hard to face.
We cannot see Beyond but this I know...
I loved you so..

Twas heaven here with you.

We Cannot Do It Without Jesus.

Oh Lord, I've tried it my way.
Never seem to get anywhere.
Now I've turned my thoughts to Jesus.
This is what I want to share.

We cannot do it without Jesus.
Place your cares in His hands.
We cannot do it without Jesus.
Let Him in on your plans.

Now my life has turned around.
Everything is sunshine bright.
The love of Jesus surrounds me.
Keeps me going day and night.

I'm sorry about some things I've done.
But that's all in the past.
Jesus has given me new life.
Praise God, I'm free at last.

We cannot do it without Jesus.
Place your cares in His hands.
We cannot do it without Jesus.
Let Him be part of  your plans.

Jesus Smiling

Now I've heard it from my friends
and people at work
that the church has gone out of style.

But I know for a fact
there are plenty of things
that can still make Jesus smile.

Mother Theresa, Pope John Paul 2,
First Communicants and kids in Sunday school.
These are things that make Jesus smile.

Vatican Council 2, Pope John 23,
Priests and Nuns serving you and me.
Oh, See Jesus smiling!

So let's face the fact. Put Jesus in your heart.
Proclaim Him your Lord. Then we can all take part
in keeping Jesus smiling.

2000 Years Ago

If I had lived in Galilee 2000 years ago,
where would I have been at Christmas time,
2000 years ago?
Would I have seen that great white star,
radiant in the sky?
Would I have been the shepherd
that heard the Baby Jesus first cry?

Oh, wouldn't it have been wonderful to live so long ago,
Knowing what I know now and loving the baby Jesus so!

If I had lived in Galilee 2000 years ago,
where would I have been on Good Friday
2000 years ago?
Would  I have been on Calvary
where our Lord Jesus died?
Would I have been the soldier
who  pierced our savior's side?

Oh, forgive me Lord,  Forgive me Lord.

If I had lived in Galilee 2000 years ago,
Where would I have been at Easter time
2000 years ago?
Would I have seen Mary Magdalene
hurrying to the tomb?
Would I have been like Thomas
doubting our Savior's wounds?

If I had lived in Galilee 2000 years ago?
Where would I had been at Pentecost
2000 years ago?
Would I have heard that roaring wind,
seen the tongues of flame descend?
Would I have been in that room?
Perhaps been one of them?

Oh, wouldn't it have been wonderful to live so long ago?
Knowing what I know now and loving Jesus so.
