Misinterpretations, Chapter 2
Kimiko patiently waited for her kin to get into place, before performing any sort of attack. Her partner, tonight, was her elder cousin, Matsukata Mieko, a willing and dedicated demon slayer with regards to only her duty. Mieko quickly went into place among the tall grass that overlooked the glade and the enormous demon. A kind of tension rose over her as she watched Kimiko stand ahead of the beast with such ferocity. Mieko gave a low, hmph! And thought to herself, She better not screw it up this time! She had been around Kimiko, well enough to know of her tendency to disobey orders. She was the only one of the clan members that defied the elders and did not comply to the expectations of the family. Kimikos rebellious nature was becoming difficult to control. If such behavior was allowed to continue than the hopes of the clan were as good as gone... Kimiko was their only key to success.
Seeing Mieko in place Kimiko proceeded to prepare herself for battle. Keeping with the description of any Ningenkai toad, the demon was of a dirty green color and had webbed feet and hands with small claws at its fingertips. He stood upright, towering over Kimikos 5' foot stature and was a powerhouse of mass and muscle. Though this would surely make him a slower opponent, Kimiko took into consideration the monsters wicked tongue.
The demon looked upon Kimiko as a sea of arrogance rose over him. Such a small and pretty fighter would surely not last long against him. Kimiko merely stood before him, and seeing it as an opportunity the demon lunged at her at full force... as predicted. Kimiko quickly jumped up and over the demon. Though, he could not stop his immensity from continuing forward the demon launched his sticky tongue to snatch her from the air. Kimiko was not unprepared, she had unsheathed the coveted dagger from her kimonos sleeve. As soon as the demon got a hold of her hand containing her katana, she revealed her dagger and sliced off his vicious tongue. Simultaneously, Mieko appeared to stab the demon with her own sword, sending a wave of shock and pain through the demons back. He had not expected another, he was hoping the young demon slayer was the epitome of his worries.
From a nearby tree, Kurama and Hiei watched in disapproval. Hiei stood upon a branch perfectly balanced with his arms crossed on his chest; he was bored and quite irritated. His red-haired partner kneeled low upon an underlying branch. Unlike Hiei, Kuramas mind was surely on completing his task paying much interest in the fight. Hmph! They fight like a pack of ravaging dogs! Hiei stated.
Indeed, their tactics are quite ruthless, and the girl appears to fit neatly with the clans ploys. Obviously well need to take care of her sooner than expected. Kurama answered.
Lets go then, I had enough of babysitting this lowlife human. Training that half-brained Kuwabara was somewhat interesting than this. With one bound and a rustle of leaves, both demons leave to prepare the slaying of a slayer.
