outs. Whitney Dekle put in
another great appearance at 1st base with 7 put outs. Jenna
Peatross did a great job at 3rd base and Halley

Stephens had another heads up play at 2nd base missing a line
drive she didn't give up on the play and managed to get the force from 1st
and tag the runner that was attempting to return 2nd base thinking the
ball was caught. Our offense wasn't as good tonight but Kelsie
Royal did well going 2 for 3. Note, Laura
Perez has gone the whole season, so far without a striking out.
Great Job Laura!!

Tuesday, May 7
the Panthers played Collins Hill, the Panthers offense was off tonight but
Rutherford Stephens made a
quick thinking play in the field at 2nd base. Whitney
Dekle had her best game all season at 1st base. Running to her
right to stop a grounder she fell over while stopping the ball, she pushed
the ball to the shortstop, Kelsie Royal,
at 2nd base managing to get the put out. Good Thinking Rutherford
and Kelsie! On the offensive side Laura
Perez and Whitney Dekle batted

In the game on Saturday,
March 23,2002, the first game of the season for the Mountain Park Blue
Panthers. The Panthers' faced a very fast pitcher, the first time
around the lineup the girls struggled to get used to her. The second
time around each of the girls did much better; it is to bad we couldn't
have gone for a third I think we would have started hitting her. Laura
Perez managed to get our only hit of the game.
