Whitney is again
playing for Mountain Park after playing over at Lilburn last
year during park renovations. Her Panther team there
came in First Place for the season and Second Place in
the Post Season Tournament. Her fall team won the Fall
Classic 10 & Under tournament. She has two
older sisters and an older brother.
Whitney is also an accomplished
basketball player having played this past season for the Mountain
Park Jazz, the team she played with her
first year (1997-1998), winning her first
championship. She also picked up a
championship in 1999-2000 with the 14-0 Hurricanes,
leading the entire league in scoring that season.
In between, her Hawks team reached the finals.
A fifth grader at Camp
Creek Elementary School where her favorite subject
is Social Studies, Whitney is also involved in youth
activities at Saints All Lutheran Church and is in
the Girl Scouts.

she started softball except for last year when the park was

My
name is Kelsie Royal. I am eleven years old
and I am in the fifth grade at Camp Creek Elementary
School. I am on the Honor Roll. I enjoy
school and socializing with my friends. I
enjoy shopping, roller blading, writing, reading,
drawing, singing, hanging out with friends, and of
course, playing sports as much as possible! I
played soccer for 3 years at GSA, swam for over 2
years at Eastside Athletic Club, played basketball
for 3 years at Mountain Park, 2 of those years I
played for the Jazz
with Rutherford. This past season we came
in first for the season with an 11-1 record. I
have played softball for almost 7 seasons, all have
been played at MPPAA (Mountain Park Park Athletic
Association),
except last year when Mountain Park Park was being
worked on I played at Lilburn. My team at
Lilburn came in 1st Place for the season. I am
an extremely active person, and always enjoy some
down time at the movies! I am thrilled to be
playing fast-pitch for Panthers Blue! I am
sure we will all have a GREAT season!

Rutherford is a first year Mountain Park
player. Having played 5 seasons at Lilburn. Three
years ago she played a season with the 10-and-under
Tucker Elite travel team. She played left
field with the Elite. As the second baseman
for the 1999 LGSL Pixie All Stars, she batted .727
(second on the team), helping them to a second place
finish in the Murphy Candler tournament. She played
second base this fall for the 12 & Under
Gwinnett County league champion and Fall Classic
tournament winner Norcross Black Diamonds (17-1). Rutherford
also plays basketball for the Mountain
Park Jazz along with Whitney
and Kelsie. She just
finished her fifth season
for the Jazz, Rutherford made the transition from a
defensive specialist to a ball handler last season,
and added playmaker to her responsibilities this
season. She has won two MPAA championships,
one in each of her first two years. This year
her team finished first for the season (11-1).
A fifth grader at Arcado
Elementary School, Rutherford - the youngest of
eight children - concludes her family's 15
consecutive year run at the school this year.
Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and

veteran of LGSL - four times an All Star - Katie began
playing softball at age 5. This is her first
year playing as a Panther. A member of the
Tucker Elite 3 years ago with Rutherford.
Katie is also a Girl Scout.

at Arcado Elementary School, and also enjoys
