The Upbeat Depression no longer exists. The band lives in different parts of the world, and no progress was ever made because they were all raised to procrastinate.

The Upbeat Depression (elisabeth,dido, and alex) was physically formed on September 22 2002, 6 hours before a show we were scheduled to play at (although we have been spiritually bound since the beginning of time.)
The show was at the VFW Hall in lovely Tampa Florida. We opened for a number of bands, including Yukhonic, Geriatricide, and The JFKs (of which Dido had been a member and was playing with them for their last show).
We wrote three songs in 4 hours and played them shoddily in front of about 30 people. Those songs have since become obsolete to us. We are now in the process of writing new songs, and we will be recording shortly. You can love us if you wish, but we will most likely get sick of you within a short period of time.
Expect an EP out on Montreal Recordings by December 2002!
