| Monday, June 16,2003 Now, after over 6 months, I have finally fixed the brakes. There were two pins that were rusted onto the caliper. Those two little pins are supposed to be the pistons that engage the pads against the brake disk, and lock the differential. After soaking the caliper in WD-40 overnight, I released those little pins from their rusty holes. I filed down the holes and the pins, and now they work properly. After reinstallation and a quick test, I decided to attempt a test of daring proportions. I was to push the mower up a steep hill, then coast down and engage the brakes. It took a while, but it worked. A few minor adjustments, and these brakes should be race ready. I am most certainly in the dire need of a working used starter motor. My starter is toast. After weeks of trying to start, the starter has finally seized. If any of my viewers has an old starter lying around that came off of a 14.5HP Briggs, Please E-mail me at |

| After a year of putzing around with the mower, they finally ended up at a local junkyard. May the mowers rest in peices in that big lawn in the sky. |
