I got it home, checked turning ability of the engine (it turns, by the way) and got to work. Spark plug changed, new battery, and am now ready to change the oil. This is a real handful with having to juggle school, band, and other activities. I will get back to you at a later date for more info.
I am listed on the USLMRA Yahoo! groups page! The mower hasn't progressed much. I am having to juggle struggling grades in the 1st 3 weeks of school. Our first band competition is this Saturday. I hope we do well.
I fixed my transaxle! I was having problems with my braking system (exact opposite of what you are probably thinking what happened). The brakes were tight, so I took it apart and cleaned the part, replaced the pads, and after I did that the brakes didn't work, except now they were loose instead of stuck. A little tweaking (and the reinstallation of a part that I forgot to put back on), should fix the problem. I am sorry that I haven't written more often, but School and band functions have prevented me from doing so. Our school district is in lockdown, thanks to this damn freak who is shooting people at random. My dear god if we miss another band pracitce again.
I am ready to rock and roll! It's not running yet, but the brakes work. All I need is a battery. My next door neighbor has a battery charger, and is willing to let me borrow it (and, by chance, she is the same person whom gave me this machine in the first place). They finally cought the son-of-a bitch who was shooting all of these people in our area. On that note, COLONIAL FORGE GOT A SUPERIOR AT VBODA!!!! Our school is among the two schools that got a superior in our district. Congrats CFHS!! As before, I will get back to you if I get it started. I hope I do, for it would lift a huge load off of my shoulders.
It is the new year, and I have not written in 4 months. A lot has happened since then. I have lost my computer, My mower has been covered in snow several times in a row, and it attempts to turn over. It still hasn't started yet, but when it's warmer, and I have a new battery, that may change. All messages to my e-mail address have expired. So all the countless messages that I have recieved, most likely not from the viewing public of this web page, have been lost. On a school note, Nothing has really changed. Band season is over, so one less thing I have to think about. I will write back sooner next time. sorry about the 4 month wait.
I have an almost running engine! I removed the deck and deck belts, and now it turns over alone! i think my problem lies with the carbeuretor. I just need to clean it out with some automotive parts cleaner. But I can't do that until it gets warmer. Damn, I have winter. Why can't it be 70 degrees instead of 20? Well, that looks like it. I will write back as soon as I get it cleaned.
