Who am I? Who... am I? .... I'm a walrus... If you know where that quote comes from, then we're very much alike. Movie geeks. People who watch "Beat the Geeks" on Comedy Central and answer more questions than the "geeks" themselves and wouldn't mind locking that "movie geek's" hair in the "tv geek's" bass-o-matic (another reference I'm impressed if you've pinpointed). But it's okay. There is hope for you. I'm your normal average 29 year-old male with a wife, five kids, a nine to five job and a hankering to make movies. Although admittedly I do much more hankering than actual film making. But I'm working on that. Hence this website. If no one else visits this site EVER, it won't matter, because it is a great outlet for me. It gives me a chance to write, let ideas flow, get feedback from the few and far between who do frequent the site, and most importantly... have fun. And hopefully along the way I'll inspire others to get off their butts and do what makes them happy, but being careful not to destroy what good they already have right in front of them. In my case, it's my family. I would like to be an Oscar winning screenwriter... maybe even a director... but the most important job I have right now is being a husband and a father. And I am working to ensure that this dream doesn't get in the way of that. Thankfully my wife is patient enough to allow me these Hollywood fantasies, to work on screenplays, (as long as I take out the garbage first), and she'll be the number one person I thank when I finally do accept that Oscar. She doesn't get the credit she deserves. So I continue to write and work on small projects here and there, content to know that there is a caring God directing my future anyway if I will trust Him, and if I do write the next Oscar winner, there's no doubt He'll get a big thank you as well. Somewhere in all that above rambling, you've gotten to know me. And the very fact you've read this far tells me something about you. You need to find something better to do with your time... KIDDING! Thanks for coming by and hope you enjoy your stay. Jeff |
