BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Robert Cohen teaches music by day and performs several nights each week. He has served as music director in New York, as a state-certified band and choral director in Mount Dora, Florida, composer for musical theatre and soundtracks, and as a private instructor with over 100 current students.  He has performed at Lincoln Center in New York, Berklee Performance Center in Boston, and throughout Europe.   He also worked in music management for Columbia Artists Manangement and International Creative Management in New York. His published works include: "Indigestion" performed by Lance King (Columbine Records),  soundtrack to the award winning independent  film "One Sunday Afternoon" directed by Lipo Ching, and the musical, "Lilith, Persephone, and the Mask of Medussa," performed at the United Nations.  Recent works include music tracks for Biowaves Sound Therapy, as well as  Alternate Pathways.  He performs regularly as a solo artist and with "The Lost Cats" and "The Dora Music Project."  He has had the great fortune to perform on televised jazz performances with Mickey Carroll, Jeff Carswell and Jacqueline Jones, and has also performed with Tom Lavenia, Ron Gilotti, and Rich Walker.  Robert was music director of "The Spitfire Grill" at the Icehouse Theatre in Mount Dora, Florida in December 2007.
