What this site is all about:
There seems to be a lot of interest in these steering wheel mounted
accessory controls. I am versed only in the GM style of these controls
as I only own Pontiac vehicles. I want to present information in this site
to help others understand how this system works and to offer interfaces
for the public to use to interface these controls with aftermarket and custom
installations. I also want to have a FAQ section for people to ask and
answer questions. I am not the "know-it-all" for these systems. I have
spent a great deal of time and some money to understand, modify and adapt
this system for use with my Pioneer car audio equipment. I have modified
the first and second generation controls. I do not own a vehicle with the
third generation steering wheel controls (SWC's). I have schematics of
the third generation system, and will need some help in designing an interface
for it. Any feedback and comments will be greatly appreciated. Send me
