Answer: Mothergrove
is a Pagan group in Victoria, B.C., open to Witches and other Pagans (and
Pagan-interested folks). We have public Sabbat celebrations, Pagan
coffeehouses, Pagan pubnights, and are looking into organizating regular
classes/moon-circles.
Question: Is Mothergrove
a Coven?
Answer: No, it is not a coven,
but is something much broader and more "informal." We think of it
as being firstly a community of friends. We come from many traditions
and backgrounds, whereas a coven is focused on a single tradition. Also, initiation
isn't required to become a member of Mothergrove as it is to become a full
member of a coven. Maybe in the future we might develop an initiatory
tradition such as covens have, but right now we don't have one.
