| Before we started we had nasty old wallpaper, poorly painted everything else, water stains, broken plaster, mishung doors, and old wavy-glass wooden windows... I was unable to capture it's true 'before' essence. So just trust me- it was really bad. |
| We started by replacing the old windows. The plaster cracks and a broken floor board were mended. The whole room was primed and painted right over the impossible to remove wallpaper. The doors got rehung properly and a screen door was added to the entrance to ward off overzealous cats who love cribs. I drew and painted the mural over the crib freehand. The bugs that encircle the room were done using chunky stamps. Two corners of the room aren't shown: his froggy toybox and race car big boy bed in one corner and a denim upholstered glider rocker in the other. I have photos that will not upload onto this site for some odd reason. I'll take more soon, so stay tuned. |
