Me~ a labor sitter, doula, artist, teacher/facilitator, encourager, nurturer, sister, mother, lover, friend.
  
I believe in the traditional, ancient art, of birth and mothering and encourage the support of women assisting women in childbirth and postpartum.

I have been trained as a childbirth educator and doula, in both Labor support and postpartum care, through ALACE (Association of Labor Assistants & Childbirth Educators,) and DONA (Doulas of North America,) I served as a La Leche League Leader for 20 years and am currently studying traditional midewifery.
  
I have been a breastfeeding, natural childbirth, and attachment parenting advocate for over 25 years. I am the mother of 7 children and also a grandmother.
  
I believe that childbirth and mothering are spiritual and empowering experiences in a woman's life, and I am therefore especially sensitive to each individual's needs.

I am also a lover of nature, animals, music, dance and art.
Greg and I were married in 1978 and we have 7 amazing children.  Three of our children are grown. The four youngest are still at home, growing and learning all the time.  We have Home Educated all of our children up to college.

We have been blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren and they have added a new dimension to our lives.

Our family also includes several dogs, cats, a horse,  and assorted birds, which keeps life interesting!
