| James Thompson Taylor was born in Kentucky March 30, 1812. His parents John and Rebekah were married in Warren County January 4, 1811. On Jan. 19, 1832, in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, they signed an article of agreement and testament giving their natural son and only child, James Thompson Taylor all the cattle and hogs in their possession as well as a horse "for his better maintenance". James died June 8, 1872, and is buried on family land in a now lost plot.
