| Maud (Mary Ann) Lucius was born in the Knoxville area of Greene County, Alabama, where her father Philip Jacob Lucius, Jr. moved from South Carolina. She married James M. P. Taylor in Greene County Nov. 8, 1874, at the home of her brother, Dr. Richard D. Lucius, who near the same time married James' sister, Rebecca Emeline. Maud was born March 20, 1853 and died April 25, 1903. She is buried at Bethel Church in Ralph, Tuscaloosa County. Her epitaph states "A loved one gone home." |
