1.  ain't worried

I ain't worried about my final year
I ain't worried and I ain't gonna shed no tear
I ain't worried; perhaps it's already here
I ain't worried 'bout my final year

I ain't worried about my final day
I ain't worried when my chart reads D.O.A.
I ain't worried, 'cuz I can't know anyway
I ain't worried 'bout my final day

I ain't worried about my final hour
I ain't worried when I fade just like the flower
I ain't worried, 'cuz Jesus holds me by His power,
Jesus holds me by His power,
Jesus holds me by His power.
So I ain't worried 'bout my final hour.

2.  'tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise; just to know, "Thus saith the Lord."

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.  How He's loved me o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.  O, for grace to trust Him more.

O, how sweet to trust in Jesus, just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me 'neath the healing, cleasning flood.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.  How He's faithful o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.  O, for grace to trust Him more.

Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus, just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking life and rest and joy and peace.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.  How He's cleansed me o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.  O, for grace to trust Him more.

Killer guitar solo

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.  How He's taught me o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.  O, for grace to trust Him more.

I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee, precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me, wilt be with me to the end.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him.  How He forgives me o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.\
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust You.  You proved Yourself to me o'er and o'er.
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus.  O, for grace to trust Him more.  O, for grace to trust Him more...

Note 1:  This song is in the public domain.  It was written by Louisa M. R. Stead (lyrics) and William J. Kirkpatrick (music) in 1882.  A century and a quarter later, it still rocks The House down.

Note 2:  I originally recorded my vocal part on a day when my voice was really bad; I was sick and had partial laryngitis.  I sang the song all the way through, but after the second verse, my falsetto wasn't even hitting the high notes anymore, and I knew I'd have to rerecord.  However, I liked the unintentional tremolo at the beginning of the second verse so much that I wanted to keep that verse.  So, I asked Lisa to sing the choruses, which I sang back up on as well.  This was the first time that I shared lead vocal duties on a moron recording.  I jealously reserve all the singing for myself, not because I'm a good singer, but because I love to sing--to sing to the Lord.  Also, the songs are personal to me--intimate--because I write them and enjoy them, and there's no more intimate musical task than singing.

Note 3:  I changed a small portion of the lyrics of the chorus (originally:  "How I've proved Him o'er and o'er") because I don't agree with what that phrase would mean to us today.  Jesus proves Himself; Jesus demonstrates Himself to be True.  His facticity and existence don't depend on me being able to provide a "proof."  When I stand up and give testimony about Him, it's the Spirit's work within me that is empowering me.  Perhaps, in 1882, that phrase meant that the author has found Jesus to be faithful in times of testing/proving.

6.  over and over

Note 2:  This is the third song of the "old moron" trilogy.

Note 3:  I really don't know why I continue this stupid trilogy thing.  It got started on dinner with polonius, continued on beyond the green planet, and has managed to survive on to another project.
