Moronic first performed was 1996 with the first member Argo singer, Kandar guitar, Iksan bass and Zeid drums with first name call Inochip. Not quiet long this form was changed. Zeid walked out from the band and the drum position replaced by Argo and so on singer position takeover by Kandar. Since that time the band form became trio. All the member of the bend actually was stay on in the same junior high school call 166. In 1997 Argo moves on to 226 junior high school. In the same year Iksan walked out. For a several time this band playing with no bass payer. While finding some one able for this position, a quantity of person played together as addition.

In his new school, Argo met Dimas “JP” as his senior. He asked JP to join as a new band member. JP agree in one condition that he playing guitar and finding new one as a bass player. While find new one, the band position was Kandar in bass and sing, Dimas “JP” in guitar and Argo in drums. In the same year, the band name changed became Sub Total. Sub Total not a finally name, after a tought discussion they have a new name call Moronic. For a number of years, this band playing in trio till in 2000 they met Randy. They asked Randy to join them and Randy agree with that. Not like thay first plan, Randy position not in bass but in guitar. Randy’s participation gave brand new spirit for Moronic. But to bad, Randy should walk out from Moronic in 2000.

Since they first form, Moronic always played and influenced by Nofx. Almost all of Nofx songs they played in they exercise studio and live performance. A number of  band like Pennywise, Good Riddance, Propagandhi, Bad Religion, Gold Finger, No Use For A Name, and Lag Wagon had inclined for Moronic.

In 2000 Imam, ex drummer from The Idiots, offered Moronic to join with in his Label named Rage and Revolt. Under Rage and Revolt Label Moronic released they first album call “Looser Friend”. Still in the same label Moronic released they mini album call “We’re No Body” in 2002. Moronic get involved in a number of compilation albums from various label record.
