I'm 29, a life-long Alaskan, and something of a lit-geek. I love reading, writing, and movies. I'm currently addicted to riding my mountain bike with my favorite friend, SO, and love of my life, Neil. We have a couple of furkids, Morkmer and Milo. I'm one of those godless liberals, but I do have a soft spot for goddess and primitive pagan imagery (like Venus of Willendorf). I work as a technical editor and Executive Babysitter for an environmental engineering firm, but my heart's desire is to teach. Slowly, I'm working on getting my degree so that I can do just that. |

Have I mentioned that I love to read? Neil has accused me of "eating books" because I can rip through an interesting book in a matter of hours. I also love hiking, tooling around on my bike, baking (Neil is the family chef), playing Sims 2, knitting, making clothing, redecorating our fixer-upper, watching movies in our Home Theater.
The crafts I love are sewing, knitting, embroidery/cross stitch, quilting, and my own brand of scrapbooking. I'm hoping to learn to crochet, soon. I have the hooks, I have the Happy Hooker, I just haven't made the time. Because I am a dork. |

COLORS AND STYLE |

PURPLE. I lurve purple. But I also love black, charcoal, pink (just about any shade), ocean/beach colors. The only yellow I can wear is a very, very pale version. I don't actively hate any colors.
My style is casual classic, I guess. I like tailored clothing and hate gingham or anything too frothy. Country Clutter is my LEAST favorite style of decorating. I actually feel my shoulders tense up and pull into my body when I'm in a house (over)done in that style.
I like clean lines. Mission, Arts & Crafts, Prairie School. I am fascinated with Sears Houses and enjoy recreating them in my Sims games. |

Cats, dragonflies, ocean colors. I'd be happier with a dragonfly-themed item than a cat-themed thing, but I can't ignore my furbrats. I'm a Harry Potter fan, and love all things Narnia, Star Wars, or Middle Earth. |
