The Wrecking Crew spent barely a month refitting, taking on members of the Comguard and a few Clan bondsmen to work the supply lines. Reorganized with the Comstar military doctrine of oversized lances, the new Mayhem cut their teeth in a series of recon raids against the Wolf and Ghost Bear Clans. Though most of the engagements after the battle of Tukayyid were mere skirmishes, the fighting on Eguilles against the Fourteenth Bear Battle Cluster was fierce and resulted in a full Level-II being wiped out.

Morgan led her troops to Outreach after the Comstar contract expired, and was immediately arrested by Federated Commonwealth authorities. With the intervention of Jamie Wolf, she was released pending a full hearing before the Mercenary Review and Bonding Commision.

She brought sterling witnesses to her defense, including a verigraph from the Precentor Martial describing her valor at the Battle of Tukayyid. After much deliberation, the board found 3-1 in against the unit, citing the fighting on the Commonwealth world of Laurent as a breach of their Rasalhague contract. The MRBC ordered a full one year unit-hiring ban, and it seemed as if the unit was through.

Of the twenty-eight warriors that went to Outreach with the Morgans, twenty-three returned to rebuild the unit. After a month of exercises and practice, Morgan felt her unit had regained its form. In a suprise move, she signed a contract with her ancestral enemies- the Draconis Combine.

Though officially a Wolcott garrison unit, the Mayhem soon had their share of action against the Smoke Jaguars. Over the course of a year they fought three bruising campaigns against the Jaguar's touman. During the fighting on Almunge the Maruaders were suprised by a Jaguar front-line trinary appearing where there should only be solamha, and in a pitched fire-fight on White Downs, Captain Morgan was incapicitated. The enraged Mayhem wiped the Jaguars on Almunge out to a man.

Leutenant BJ Foster and the Captain's sister, Allison Morgan, cited a clause in the contract for just such an emergency, and journeyed back to Outreach. The Captain, in a coma since being shot out of disabled 'mech, recovered during the journey, and instead of staying on Outreach, the unit immediately signed a contract with the Free Worlds League.
