Rebecca and Allison Morgan are scions of a loyal mechwarrior family that had served House Steiner for over two hundred years. Both graduated from Lyran Acadamies, and it looked as if they would serve the Commonwealth as had their father and his father before them, then the Clans came.

A Tamar Pact native, the Morgans watched in dismay as world after world fell. As the invasion progressed it grew more and more evident that the Federated Commonwealth had no intention of retaking the lost worlds that had no industry. A dissillusioned Morgan had no qualms signing on with a Lyran "Social General", a Kommandant of the Third Royal Guards, and took her lance of the Tenth Lyran Guards with her on a mission to the Periphery in search of a rumored cache of lostech. Things quickly went sour however.

Kommandant Killian proved to be inept and was killed while hijacking a jumpship at zenith point of the Twycross system. Taking de facto command of the suddenly AWOL unit, Rebecca Morgan jumped into Clan held space, and into the annals of war. Taking a loose contract with the rapidly collapsing Free Rasalhague Republic, Morgan's Marauder's faced off against the Wolf and Ghost Bear Clans.

Thannhausen, Engadine, and other Rasalhague worlds saw the battalion sized unit going up against the best the Clans could throw at them. When word came that Laurent, the Morgan homeworld was under attack, the battered unit even traveled back to the Lyran corridor, fighting to protect their world. It proved to be a lost cause.

Falling back to Thun they fought with 26th Lyran Guards, who had orders to arrest them on sight. Facing the whole of Wolf Clan Beta Galaxy on a Rasalhague world, Leftenant- General Jinders Green-Davion instead let them fight with him and they took part in the giant firefight in the Logan Delta. After being pushed off that world they fell back to Altenmarkt, and their with the Altenmarkt BattleMech Brigade faced their toughest foe yet, the 13th Wolf Guards.

In a running battle that lasted nearly two months Rebecca Morgan and her now understrength pair of companies faced off against her old Acadamey nemisis- Phelan Wolf; though she didn't know it at the time. They gave as good as they got, but attrition forced them offworld once again. Fleeing into uncharted systems to rest and refit, they popped back up at the minor system of Tukayyid on 30 April 3052.
