This is where I keep my happy pretty specimens. As in the specimens that are too good to be plopped on top of the TV or on a bookshelf somewhere gathering dust. A lot of them aren't very spectacular or worth hundreds (I wish). Some pieces in other collection pages are actually on my A Shelf but I arranged them how I see fit.

Agate. Looks better underwater, as always.

Celestite egg. Forgot where it's from. I probably have it somewhere around here.

Anhydrite. From Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico. I totally dig the Fortress-Of-Solitude look.

Aragonite. Found in a gift shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. No clue where it's from. Actually redder than the picture shows.

Apatite Crystals. From Otter Lake, Quebec, Canada.

Azurite. I think. Don't remember where I got it or where it's from. Sigh. These things happen.

Barite. From somewhere in Colorado. Picture doesn't show but it has a lovely color change from yellow at the top to blue at the bottom.

Dioptase. One of my very favorite specimens. Not sure where it's from (got it at a mineral show) but it's a good chance it's from Tsumeb, Namibia.

Biotite Book. Dug out of a leavings pile and have been trying to not peel it apart. Darn temptation.

Chalcopyrite. Unknown location. Purchased at a rock shop.

Blue Fluorite. From Bingham, Socorro County, New Mexico. One of my favorites.

Pink Halite. From California. Picture doesn't do it justice. Fabulous crystal structure.
