OUR GROUP

Our chapter of MOPS meets at St. Lukes United Church of Christ in Trappe, PA.  We typically meet on the third Wednesday of each month, September through May, from 9 am until 11:15 am.

The annual cost to be a member of our MOPS group is $75.  This includes a registration fee to MOPS international of $23 and $55 dues which are paid directly to our group (split as $28 in the fall and $30 in the spring).  Scholarhips are available to those with financial need- we do not want anyone to miss out based on cost.  Dues help cover the cost of child care and craft supplies.  The MOPS registration enrolls you in MOPS International's MOPS to Mom Connection, which provides you with resources such as the semi-monthly magazine MomSense (in addition to our own monthly newsletter), weekly encouraging emails, a DVD and other small gifts.  The most important gift we hope you will find is the gift of our friendship, and time for yourself, that you may become the best mom you can be.

A typical MOPS meeting begins with a delicious homemade breakfast.  We mingle and eat.  It is a great time of getting to know mothers like you.  Then our coordinator leads us in a time of inspiration.  We have lots of prizes and giveaways (always lots of fun)  Our special speakers conclude the meeting.  Topics have been thoughtfully chosen to enhance knowledge in areas that are most important to moms.  In our discussion groups, we share ideas and reflect on the day's topic.  We often have a craft ranging from making beaded bracelets, wine glass charms or ribboned message boards- you never know what crafty project we will do next.

Our MOPPETS program lets you enjoy the morning knowing that your children (birth - kindergarten) are also having fun.  There are several outside activities planned by our Hospitality committee such as holiday parties, picnics, and hay rides.
