Learning About Life

I learned one of the most important lessons in life from a very unlikily source. I learned about life from death. You are probably wondering how on earth anyone would learn about life through death. It's very easy and when you learn also, you will have found some of your spirit and what life means.

I had a tremendous fear of death as many do. We all are afraid of the unknown and most of us were taught to fear it through our religious beliefs because it meant "judgement day". Luckily for me, a very good friend gave me the book "Embraced by the Light" and as I read it I felt some of my fears disappearing. I began reading many more books on death and near-death-experiences. I'm not saying you will believe it all or if any of it. But you will learn many things about yourself and you will find some of your spirit there and most important, you will learn what life is and what it means.

In Dannion Brinkley's book "Saved by the Light", he discussed how he had to experience a life review when he "died" and how he helped many people who were dying do a life review. I found it very helpful when my own parents were dying and I found when I was helping them with their life reviews, I began doing my own. You don't have to wait till you are dying to do a life review and it will help you learn about yourself. You will learn what your priorities are, what you still want to do, things you want to say to people, etc. This will take some thinking and I found it very helpful to write it down and every now and then I read it again to see if I got off-track or if I need to make any changes. By reading it over every few months or even once a year, you can see where you are in life. Why wait till you are at death's door to look at your life and then have regrets that you didn't change things? By doing your life review now, you will be more at peace when you do make your final journey and you will less regrets.

So get out pen and paper and let's do a life review.
