The day closes Taking the heat of day Leaving the shadows to play
The night begins Scaring those who might swoon The world is illumination by the light of the moon
I am awakened Basking in the cool glow Knowing I belong to the nights flow
I seek for one Who will show me the way Protect me from the horrid light of day
He is there His eyes are alive, glowing He reaches for me, moving as if flowing
We embrace We share the night We love with all that is right
