The breif story

I got my VW in November 2001 and since  then i have been restoring it.

As soon as i got  it i stripped the car of all its pannels before removing the whole body off the chassis.

Once this was acheived i removed everything that was in anyway attached to the chassis
eg.  pedals, cables gearbox, shifter front suspension ect.

After acheiving this i began taking back the floor pan (chassis) until it was at a state where it could be painted, then i welded up some minor holes and it was fully readdy!!

I was readdy to paint so i went and bought the coulour "Golden Yellow" found on a toyota in the early 80's. With the help of Mick Marriott, I sprayed it, being very patient. ; )

Once this was acheive i needed to go onto the front suspension, i took it apart, took it back, and then put it into the same colour... This time I sprayed on my own completely.

Once putting it all back together again i got the help of Andrew O'Sullivan to correct my steering.

I have fine-tuned alot of the steering since then, and it has made it even better...

After all this it was time for some pannels.
I began stripping the bonnet of its chrome strip up the center and the handle before stripping it back to bare metal.

Then with the help of Steven Bignell and James Rowland we removed everything from, handles to intirior padding.

I then stripped that back to metal and it was time to putty and plate. One pate needed to be made for both bonnet and door. Yet it didn't take long to do, and put putty in before it was readdy to primer.

With a huge help from Mick Roser and my dad the putty was complete and the pannels were in primer.
