In your travels through Chalupa-ville, you will no doubt notice a few strange characters, who you've definitely never seen in the show. There may also be unfamiliar words and phrases. Here, therefore, in all it's glory, is the guide to Chalupa lore and lingo.
To drop one's Chalupa: to come out. This comes from Wing Chun's recaps at MightyBigTv, specifically the one for the S7 episode "Rescue Me", when Kerry and Kim are having dinner, and Kim casually mentions that a second dinner together could be considered a date. Kerry uhms and ahs, and Wing Chun comments: "Drop the Chalupa, Weaver, you are so busted on your crush". This also gave rise to the board name.
To chaloop: to be a chalupa, to hang out on DtC. Born of someone's signature: I chaloop, therefore I am.\par \par A Chalupa: A member of DtC, also used to mean a lesbian in general.
Emergentologist: born of a translation website's (quick authorial moan: these websites are evil. Do not use) exetremly dodgy, and funny, translation of a french article all about Laura Innes, where the french for ER doc ('Urgentiste', ER in french is 'Urgences') was rendered Emergentist. KimsLimbs then further expanded it, in the humor thread, to: Today on Oprah, Kerry Weaver: Emergentologist and Theoretical Lesbian.
TeMPLE: tongue-in-cheek acronym for Kim devised at some point last year. It stands for: The Most Perfect Lesbian Ever. Also, gave rise to Kim's partly ficitonal address: 305 Temple St.
305: Kim's actual house number. Also, as noticed by some (mainly mathematical) Chalupas: 3 = K I M, 5 = K E R R Y
The Dingo: One of our additions to the cast of ER, and born of the humor thread. In Australia a few years back, there was a story about a woman who, whilst on a camping trip, claimed that dingoes ate her baby. The dingo was then transplanted into the ER, as an explanation for some patient deaths and such like, where it proceeded to take quite a liking to Kerry. A precusor to Stinky, perhaps?
Siggy: Another cast addition from the humor thread. Siggy was originally Kerry's Shopping Gay Guy (SGG), on the basis that every woman needs one. He then evolved into Siggy, who is now Yosh's boyfriend. The two plot and scheme endlessly to get Kerry and Kim back together, either by stealth (ie. leaving small items of Kerry's stuff in Kim's house, and vice versa) or by the outright obvious. (a full length poster of Kim in Kerry's closet).
The Sniff: This grew out of a debate surrounding "A Walk In The Woods", where Kerry wakes up at Kim's and goes to take a shower. We see her, in a typical Weaver gesture, raise her fingers to her mouth. The issue at stake was: did Kerry sniff her fingers at this point? This spawned it's own thread, the Olefactory Factory , and led to much hilarity, silliness and even some Shakespeare adaptions.
Madame Cleo: In the first ever humor thread, Madame Cleo was named as the Chalupa's very own psychic, able to provide insight into the often hilarious tiny details of Kim and Kerry's lives.
