So, you want to find out about me, the webmistress, the owner of this wonderful domain of all things ER. Well, there's not that much to tell, but here goes. But if you insist. I live in England, and am currently in my first year at St. Hugh's College, Oxford reading French and German. It's hard work, and lots of fun, but it's fun and I have fab friends - too many to recount here, but I love them all lots.
At college, I sit on two sub-committees, one devoted to the social side of things in college, aka "Entz", the other devoted to looking over and re-writing sections of our JCR constitution. (JCR = Junior Common Room, and is like a student union at college level)
I'm a Christian, and this is a major part of my life. I'm committed to God, and believe that he has the best plan for my life, which I intend following. As anyone who knows me will know, a whole heap of stuff has happened to me and my family, stuff that would make you just want to give up - trust me on this, I've nearly done it on more than one occasion. But,d epsite it all, I know that God is looking after me, and that he is worth trusting. I figure that someone who created this little game called life knows what to do with my life in particular, so I just do what he says I should, and let him work out the details. I'm abit hazy on details right now, apart from that I'm meant to ba a linguist, and I'll end up somewhere in Europe, hopefully Paris, one of my most favourite citites ever. And that I'm clearly meant to work with kids. For more on the importance of God in my life, check out God is Good, with my other writing.
Apart from that, I love to read, in all three languages I know. Which is just as well as I study about 8 works of literature per term at uni. I've loved everything I've read so far, particular faves having been "Im Westen Nichts Neues" by Erich Maria Remarque and Baudelaire's poetry - we've taken a few poems from the "Spleen et Ideal" section of "Les Fleurs du Mal" this past term.
I am also a fan of ER. On the web, I make my presence felt on Drop The Chalupa, a message board devoted to all things Kerry Weaver, Laura Innes, Kim Legaspi and Elizabeth Mitchell. We're not scary, and certainly not obsessed. (Who, us? Why would you ever think that?) I used to write a more or less weekly column for the ER Digest, a website with all the news from the world of ER. The column was entitled Chalupa Chat, and fills the general public in on all things Chalupa. Whether or not this is appreciated is currently unknown.
Links to, and information about, some more of my favourite things can be found here, in my links.
My photo gallery lives here.
Well, I believe that just about covers it. Any further questions can be addressed to my email, which can be found here.
