Age: Hundreds of years old, taken by the Atrox in A.D. 1239 Family: Father - a Prince of Western Europe in the thirteenth century went on a crusade against the Atrox. Brother - Don't know his name, most probably dead. Girl/Boyfriends: Serena (on and off.) Staton is a Follower of the Atrox. He steals people's hope and makes them one of him. Staton's father was a great prince of westren Europe during the 13th cantury He'd raised and army to go on a crusade against the Atrox. By taking Stanton he knew it would stop his father. The Atrox had came to him in his room and took him. While Staton trapped Vanessa in this memory she tired to save him. But she failed, in trying to save him he can't harm Vanessa. |
| He tries to warn Serena about Zahi who is also a Follower and his enemy. She didn't know about the warnings because Zahi zapped them out of her mind. He is also immortal. He falls in love with Serena in The Secret Scroll. In the Sacrifice Stanton believes he plays a role in the transition. A big balance shift in the balance between good and evil. Serena is the key and Stanton believes that his role is to seduce Serena. That's why he fears being with her, plus other various reasons. When Lambert Malmar, a powerful member of the inner circle and the knight who used to gaurd Stanton as a young boy but he left the Atrox let take Stanton, convinces Stanton to bring Serena to the Atrox. He soon finds the Daughters set up a trap. Once Stanton tracks down Serena and she lures him into a backyard after arguing Jimena, Vanessa, and Catty form out of thin air beside Serena. With the use of Vanessa's power this was possible. Together and with their charm moon necklaces they attmepted to free him from the Atrox. Once they struck with their necklaces Serena soon realizes by the pain in his eyes that they were destroying him. She tried to stop it before it was to late but he was gone. Or is he? Stanton soon realized he wasn't in the backyard anymore but somewhere else. He thought he was dead but the Goddess of the Dark Moon appeared. People lvoed her once as the Goddess of the Dark Moon b/c people called upon her near the end of their time on earth to lead their soul through the passageway back to birth. She soon became an omen of doom b/c she was only called upon when people were dying. Soon after that people feard saying her name in fear of conjuring death. In this case she was here to save Stanton. She had seen the part of his soul that still yearned for love and the part of Stanton that was still human. In the beginning of the book Malcom, a regulator, came to warn Stanton about Lambert but died before he could give him the full message. MAlcom had prayed to the Goddess to cleanse him and give him rebirth. She had Malcom do one thing to prove his sincerity. She gave Malcom Stanton's father's ring that Stanton's father gave him when he was boy that would have protected him from the Atrox. She told Malocm to go to Stanton to warn him about Lambert. She now gives Stanton the ring. He gasped when she put it on his finger. A follower or anyone who is evil isn't suppose to be able to wear the ring, but she set him free and he can no wear the ring. He no longers belongs to the Atrox. He can't ever take off the ring b/c it's his only protection. She disappeard and the alst words she slipped into his mind before he feel asleep were: You have much to do before your final rest. Your trials have only begun. Stanton didn't listen to the Dark Goddess and gave Serena the ring fearing she wouldn't be without it. Sometime after that Stanton ran into Lambert. Cassandra was with him and she ran to get the Daughters. Stanton didn't want that. During the fight between Lambert and the Daughters he struck Catty with a lightning bolt and sent her into another dimension. Cassandra stole the ring from Serena and gave it to Lambert when he seeked out Stanton to join him. He put the ring on b/c Cassandra told him it would give him power. It destoryed his body but his spirit lived on b/c he is part of the Inner Circle. After that he went to kill the daughters. He managed to get Serena. When Stanton saw Serena disappear he only knew one solution. He went and called upon the FAther of night and evil. He wanted to cross over and become the Atrox's servant again. He went freely. The Atrox took him back. After he went to stepped into the cold fire he was given an emblem. Only one person can wear this crest. It was the highest honor given by the Atrox; two hands holding the eternal flame of evil. He was now Prince Of The Night! Although Stanton was now Prince of the Night he didn't lose his love for Serena. He buried that deep inside him. In Possesion Stanton helped save Serena from Aura. So he still loves her. At the end of the book she makes a decision but we can't be surewhat she decided. Before she could say what she decided he took her in his arms and they dissolved into the shadows. Followers are humans sucked of all hope sent to help destroy the daughters. They have powers to trap you in thier memories and suck all your hope from you and turn you into one of them. They can also read your mind and steal your memories. They have the power to steal the daughters powers and once one of the daughters is stripped from her powers all the daughters are weakened. All the followers fight to be in the highest position than the others. |
