This is very likeable, if that is any way to put it! Once you start reading, you have trouble stopping.
As suggested by the title, this is Moominpappas memoirs fnished and published! He is reading them out to his family, with comments from them inbetween readings.
Moominpappa had a troubled childhood, and ran away from the orphanage he was abandoned at. He then meets Hodgkins, The Muddler (Sniff's father), and The Joxter (Snufkin's father).
They build a boat and sail all over the world, resulting in a simply charming and touching book. |
