Moominpappa At Sea
Quotes
How to describe this book.......Well, you can't, really.
Only that it is very melancholy, and can open your eyes, in a way. It follows the Moomin family, as they are swept off to an island by Moominpappa. They do this with an almost frustratingly calm attitude, leaving their house, and nearly all their possessions behind, as a forgotten life.
Along with them comes Little My, who I think, is the highlight of this book. She seems to be almost animal like in her way of adapting, builing a house by a pool.  The Moomin family choose the lighthouse, Moominpappa's lighthouse.
This is a VERY different book from any other of the series, some comparisons can be made to Midwinter. I don't reccomend this one for youger children. They will appreciate it far more when they are older.
Read Moominpappa At Sea if you want something to think about, it will haunt you for days afterwards.
