RIGHT / LEFT SWAP STORY
This is a lot of fun in large groups because you find who REALLY knows their left from their right!

Whenever the name Wright or the word right is heard, pass the swap/gift to the person on your right, when you here the word left, pass it to your left.

When the word "Daisy" is said, all the Daisies say "We're so cute!", when
the word "Brownie" is said, all the Brownies say "We're so sweet!" and Juniors, "We're growing up", Cadette or Seniors, "Can I have the Car?"
on. When the word "Leader" is said, all the leaders should say "I'm sooo tired"! (Practice this a few times).
(When we did this for a SU Leaders meeting we had just the leaders of the appropriate group say the level line and everyone said the leader line.  Of course, it was very funny when we had decided the line for cadette/senior was "they're almost grown" and instead our only cadette/senior leader chose to say, "Heaven help me!"

Many years ago, high on a mountain, there lived a family named WRIGHT.
They had many cousins, all girls, and every last one's last name was
WRIGHT. All of the cousins in the WRIGHT family belonged to a Girl Scout
troop who loved to exchange swaps with other troops. There were DAISIES
and BROWNIES and JUNIORS and CADETTES and SENIORS. Not one single girl was
ever LEFT out!

Joanna WRIGHT was the Troop LEADER and she was in charge of this year's
big swap meet. Many, many Girl Scouts were getting together for a special
event to celebrate Juliette Low's Birthday. Joanna WRIGHT tried to think
of everything they would need for the event and she LEFT nothing to
chance.

Joanna WRIGHT took all the WRIGHT cousins to the craft store to pick up
all the supplies they would need to make their swaps. She loaded them all
into her van and LEFT RIGHT on time.

Melissa WRIGHT, one of the Seniors, had been so organized. She made out a
list of what she thought she would need for her swaps. She was going to
make friendship bracelets. When they arrived at the store, she got RIGHT
to work searching for everything she'd need.

Alison WRIGHT was in kindergarten, and she thought something made with a
DAISY would be just RIGHT. She loves flowers, so she headed RIGHT to the
flower department. It was located to the LEFT of the paints.

Stephanie and Kimberly WRIGHT just went camping with the other JUNIORS, so
they decided to make mini sit-upons to remind them of their camping trip.
So they picked out a checkered table cloth that would be just RIGHT to use
for their project.

Molly WRIGHT was a BROWNIE, so she decided to make a little brown elf.
She picked out clothespins and felt. She almost LEFT without yarn for the
hair, but luckily she remembered before she LEFT.

Suzy WRIGHT, one of the CADETTES, searched long and hard for something to
make. She went up the aisles on the LEFT and went down the aisles on the
RIGHT. She finally decided to make silver hearts to represent the Silver
Award she just received.

And so it went, all of the WRIGHT family Girl Scouts found the materials
they needed for their swaps. They paid for their things and LEFT the store
with bags full of supplies. When they arrived back at the meeting place,
the WRIGHT cousins went RIGHT to work on their swaps. They cut, glue,
pinned, taped and stapled everything together to make their project just
RIGHT. They attached safety pins and a little tag with their name and
troop number. They were very excited for the event!

At the swap meet the WRIGHT family cousins met many Girl Scouts from all
over and some that were RIGHT from their own town. They met DAISIES and
BROWNIES and JUNIORS and CADETTES and SENIORS. Lots and lots of LEADERS
brought their troops with them that day! They exchanged greetings and did
the Girl Scout Handshake. You know the Girl Scout Handshake don't you? You
shake with your LEFT hand, and make the Girl Scout Sign with your RIGHT!
Let's try it! Everyone do the Girl Scout Handshake with the person to
your RIGHT and LEFT!

Wonderful! That is just the way the WRIGHT girls did it at their swap
meet!

The WRIGHT family cousins couldn't believe what beautiful swaps they
received and what wonderful friends they had made. They LEFT that evening
with smiles on their faces, memories in their hearts and swaps pinned
RIGHT to their hats! Just like all of you will be going away with your
own swaps and memories from this evening. Isn't that RIGHT? Or is it
LEFT?

This is a story about Santa and LEFTy elf.

LEFTy received this nick name one Christmas when he couldn't seem to do
anything RIGHT.  Santa said " LEFTy, sometimes I think you have two
LEFT
thumbs".

On the day before Christmas Eve Santa and LEFTy were finishing up the
toys
that were LEFT. LEFTy called from the workshop, "Oh no, there is no
glue
LEFT!  Santa do you know where any might be?"

"I can't believe you forgot to check the inventory, sometimes I wonder
if
you can get anything RIGHT, LEFTy!" said Santa.

"Santa don't be mad", replied LEFTy.  "It will only take me a few
minutes to
find some,  I'll be RIGHT back".  Santa said "I'm sorry I am so grumpy,
but
we don't have much time LEFT, LEFTy.  "I'll try our packaging and
delivery
outlet RIGHT on the edge of town", said LEFTy.  "It would be faster to
stop
by my house, Mrs. Claus is sure to have some LEFT, she just might not
know
RIGHT where it is,"  Replied Santa.

"Take the short cut, go to Candy Cane Lane and Rudolph Rd. and turn
LEFT,
RIGHT at the Lollipop stop sign.  Then go to Holly Drive and turn RIGHT
and
there it will be on your LEFT."

LEFTy found the house RIGHT away and asked Mrs. Claus where she might
have
some glue LEFT.  Mrs. Claus' hands were all doughy from making the last
of
her Christmas cookies.  So she directed him RIGHT to her craft room.

"Go RIGHT down the hall and turn RIGHT, open the first door on the
LEFT.
Walk RIGHT in and turn RIGHT.  It should be on the bottom shelf, RIGHT
next
to the LEFT-over glitter."

LEFTy found plenty of glue to finish the toys RIGHT where Mrs. Claus
had
directed him. LEFTy hurried RIGHT out the door. LEFTy looked LEFT, then
RIGHT, then LEFT, but he couldn't remember where he had LEFT his sled.
Suddenly he remembered he had taken Santa's sleigh, because it would be
faster, and that his sled was in the garage at the workshop RIGHT where
he
had LEFT it.

Eventually, a tired LEFTy found his way back to Santa's workshop.
Santa
said " LEFTy, I thought you said you would be RIGHT back, so I LEFT
jolly
elf take over your station.  He used all that was LEFT of the red paint
instead of gold, so now there is no red paint LEFT to touch up my
sleigh.
You will have to go RIGHT out and get some, LEFTy "

LEFTy sighed and happily said " I knew we would have no energy LEFT by
now,
so RIGHT  after thanksgiving, I fixed up your sleigh for the big day.
Santa
said "I'm so sorry I said you couldn't do anything RIGHT, because of
you,
there is no work LEFT and I can go RIGHT to bed, so I'll be all rested
and
my jolly old self again.  Good night LEFTy."  and Santa went RIGHT to
bed.
