| Tri Bead Wreath Ornament This item can be strung on a necklace, made into a pin, or tied on a package, or used as an ornament on the tree. VERY EASY - DAISY AND UP 1 wreath - needs 12" green chenille stem 20 green tri beads (translucent or non translucent) 10 red tri beads (translucent or non translucent) Wire cutters (Cut the chenille in half before meeting for Daisy and Brownies) Cut chenille stem in half Feed beads onin order 1 red, 4 green, 2 red, 4 green, 2 red, 4 green, 2 red, 4 green, 2 red, 4 green, 1 red Twist the ends togother and push sharp ends to inside of beads ( Thanks to Ellen and Trish's troops who both made these |
| Tri bead Candy Cane Ornament This can be an ornament or a pin. VERY EASY - DAISY AND UP 1 Candy Cane needs 12" white chenille stem 18 clear or white tri beads 16 ted tri beads Wire cutters (Cut stems ahead of time for Daisy and Brownies) Cut the chenille stem in half Put 1 clear (white) bead. Turn the end of the chenille stem around the bead. Feed clear (white) bead on to cover sharp end of wire. Feed the rest of the beads starting with 2 red beads, followed by 2 clear (white) beads, etc until all beads are on. After the last bead is on. Bend the chenille stem around the bead and feed the end into the next to last bead. Thanks to Ellen and Trish's troops who both made this ornament. |
| Tree Ice This is an ornament for the tree. But leaders at the December SU thought of other creative uses. VERY EASY - DAISY AND UP 1 pencil or 1/4" dowel 1 tinsel silver pipe cleaner Use the dowel or pencil to wrap the pipe cleaner around. Slide off and slightly strech. Hang on tree. At the SU meeting we thought using red and white together and then bending to a candy cane shape would be great. Thanks to Denise who brought in materials for everyone to make. |
