Towards a
better world !!! we sang in unison.
The
imposing building in pink and white, the well maintained garden, the
dusty
football field, the red and white chairs in the library, the typical
odour
in the chemistry laboratory, the skeleton in the biology laboratory,
the
corridors where even when we walk today we look behind before speaking
to check
if there is some teacher behind, the compound within the safe
enclosure
of which we saw our dreams, the grounds where we fell -rose and
learnt
to walk. MONFORT SCHOOL COMPLEX!!!!!!!!
Montfort-----the name itself makes us nostalgic.
Our Teachers - friends Philosophers
and Guides
Our school and its description
wouldn't be complete without the mention of
our teachers. I am sure all
of us would agree on the point that whatever we
are today is because of our
teachers. It is because one day they held our
hands and showed us the right
path that today we are confident of our
actions and decisions. Our
teachers were not only our mentor and guide but
also our friends at times.
Sir
George, everyone's favourite , excellent teacher!! And my my did he
make the class interesting
?? he had a story for every occasion which would
invariably be somehow
connected to his childhood days in Kerela. I
specially loved the way he
laughed. Most of the days we used to just burst
out laughing in his class
to the extent that other teachers' often
complained about getting disturbed.
Teacher
George, she had the immense ability to make a difficult subject
like Economics cake walk for
us. Teacher Grace our teacher for history and
civics, remember how Soumitri
always managed to confuse her. Teacher Bhatt,
Physics, ooooooh!! Sure not
one of the subjects I was very comfortable with
but yeah I remember Shridhar
and Uma used to be her favourite. Teacher Tigga
, don't remember seeing her
angry anyday seemed to have all the patience in
the world.
Sir Patel , I
know any montfortian going through this stuff at any point
of time would definitely sit
upright just by reading this name. The best
teacher for Mathematics in
the whole region . People who were not too good
with the subject ended up
doing decently well in the board exams because he
saw to it that everyone tried
and gave his best to the subject . till date I
guess he the only teacher
whom every ex-student makes it a point to pay a
visit whenever they come to
Kansbahal.
Sir Dutta , his
presidency days' stories , his professor who used to come
to class in a chocolate coloured
saree on whom he had a crush , I am sure
every passing batch must have
heard this story. It is really very sad that
he had to leave this world
so early. A great loss for the school. May his
soul rest in peace, amen.
And of course
a special favourite of 96' batch Montfort School Kansbahal
, Teacher Shampa , a very
approachable person. She was our class teacher
when we first joined school
and the rapport build then blossomed over the
years. She danced with us
, sang with us , went to picnic with us and even
played volley ball with
us.
Memories - The volleyball fever
Volley ball, was
our class game ,u know like people have national game we
had our class game. We found
every opportunity to find some free time for
volleyball. With so much practice
our class boys ended up being the school
team for volleyball. Cheers
boys!! you guys were the best then and even
today u r the best. Remember
we had once defeated the CRPF guys when we out
for a school picnic to mandira
dam; well , one day on the way back home from
Rourkela by bus a person sitting
beside reminded me of our this game, he too
was a part of the CRPF team
we played against that day and remembered us.
That moment made a little
more proud to be a part of Kansbahal, a part of
Montfort family , and a part
of this wonderful batch!!!!
Our school
and our teachers have given immense effort to groom up us as
complete human beings , now
it is on us to do them proud because this is all
we can give them in return.
Now can I get a HIP HIP HURRAY for MONTFORT SCHOOL
KANSBAHAL!!!!!!!!
