| Millennium Force is the best roller coaster in the world! The moment we started up that lift hill, which is 310ft high, I started getting a bit nervous and as the train neared towards the top, I got even more nervous. It does not take long at all to get up the hill, only around 20 seconds and the train is already at the top, due to the elevator cable system, resulting in a smooth quiet ride and none of the clickity clackity sound a chain lift makes. Also as you go up the hill, the speed accelerates. Once we reached the top, the scenery was breathtaking but I hardly got any chance to look around. My attention was focused on the drop, which was a 300ft drop at 80 degrees! Believe me, this IS ONE NASTY DROP! Once we started the drop, it was fast and it seemed forever. There is no drop like it! It's hard to explain what the drop felt like and how it looked. We were going 93mph down the drop and throughout the entire ride, which is 2 minutes and 45 seconds, the train maintained it's speed, even through the 2nd and 3rd hills! We passed through 3 overbanked turns and 2 tunnels and one of the tunnels had a camera to take pictures (I ended up buying the picture). There is no ride like Millennium Force!! It's FAST, it's drop is incredible, and the train runs on the track smoothly, almost like it's gliding, there is not a single bump on this ride! It took me 2 trips to Cedar Point to actually ride this monster. The 1st trip, the ride had problems with the elevator cable. If you are a roller coaster fan, DO NOT: REPEAT, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS RIDE! You're gonna love it! If you don't ride it, you don't know what you're missing! I thought I would never ride it because it freaked me out when I first saw it's intimidating 1st hill, so I came up with my own logo for the ride: "MILLENNIUM FORCE, The ride I actually got ride on.........and lived to tell about it." :-) |
