- PPClient
-
PPClient is a software package designed to create distributed Point
of Presence client applications. Applications such as ATM's, Kiosks, POS systems,
etc. are some examples. These systems are geographically distributed, communicate with
remote Server applications and/or interface with devices. Such
applications will benefit
from the PPClient package, which provides features and utilities commonly
required by them. It is designed to
eliminate or minimize difficulties with several routine tasks.
Further, PPClient allows integration of externally developed software
modules that can provide the application with additional
functionality. PPClient enables very sophisticated
applications to be built on its frame-work rather quickly. Finally, with some limitations, it allows companies
to deploy applications on Windows, Linux or other
platforms.
RemoteMgr
-
Distributed client applications can include sophisticated
systems developed using PPClient, or they could be simple devices such
as a rain or wind gauge in a weather monitoring system. All these
systems have certain characteristics - some requirements and needs.
"RemoteMgr", for Remote
Manager, provides a frame-work for a system that can manage these
distributed systems. Their typical needs for monitoring, notification,
remote control and data gathering are provided as services in the
RemoteMgr architecture. All built-in services are highly customizable
through its Graphical Configuration utilities and through its
scripting features. The RemoteMgr
architecture allows addition of new
services through development of the plug-in modules. While RemoteMgr
may be used within the confines of a protected network, its power lies
in its ability to provide access from anywhere! Instead of being
restricted to specific workstations that can access the remote
systems, RemoteMgr
allows you to do the same from your car, using
your WAP enabled phone, or if the "expert" is in Germany,
she can troubleshoot and fix the remote device over the Web! Actually,
the expert can enjoy her stay in Germany until RemoteMgr
detects a problem, at which time it will contact the expert directly
through email and/or telephone.

TimeTracker
- TimeTracker is an online time tracking service for use by
traveling consultants or for company employees that bill for their
time. Accessible through phones, PDA's or the Web, the service allows
users to enter and update time records for work done, from virtually
anywhere - extremely valuable for enterprises that lose revenues from
forgotten billable hours. TimeTracker also automates the invoicing or
time-sheet generation, and it allows companies to use their own
document templates! It can trigger alerts and notifications,
deliverable through phone and/or email, for various preset
conditions.
