Monroe County 4-H Dog Committee's Constitution
Purpose: To support the 4-H youth Dog Program. To provide leadership roles and educational opportunities for dog handlers in the Monroe County Dog Program. To advise and cooperate with the Cooperative Extension Service. To help educate Monroe County's youth about dogs. Meetings Members, parents, leaders, and all interested parties are welcome to attend all meetings and activities. The meeting schedule shall be set at the spring meeting. Officers The Vice President, Secretary, and SAA Director shall serve one year and will be elected. The President will serve one year and be the previous Vice President. The Treasurer serves a two year term and will either be elected or the previous treasurer in training. The Treasurer in Training will be elected. Adult Advisors serve one-year terms and are elected in numbers of three. Vacancies of Office shall be handled as follows: An officer can choose to resign their duty. If they are absent a total of three times or absent three times in a row without reasonable excuse they will be removed from their position of office. It's important to mke sure that your schedule can be flexible enough for you to attend the meetings and properly fulfill your duties as an officer candidate. Vacancies of office will fill by a quorum vote of the members present at the meetings. Amendments The Constitution may be amended by a 2/3 vote of members present with at least two adult advisors and two officers present at the meeting. Proposed changes recommended shall be discussed at least four weeks prior to voting with notice of voting date set at the previous meeting. Other There shall be an annual audit. Request from Small Animal Association must be submitted by February 1 of the upcoming year. Any changes to the Fair Premium must be submitted to the Extension Office by December 1. |
