Man what a long damn day!!! Let me begin by saying it is now 4:20 am.
Ok, now that you know what time I am still up, let me begin to tell you about my day.
I got up at about 12 noon. I showered and got ready for work. Arrived at work at about 1pm. Today was Sunday so that meant I had the whole computer dept. by myself. I really hate sundays. It can either be a really good day or a nightmare.
Today was a nightmare. When I sat down at my desk I noticed about 3 revisions I had to do. Hmmm no big deal, I can knock those out in no time at all. (So I thought) Then the customers started coming in.
I think the store posted a sign out on the road that stated "If you dont know anything about computers PLEASE come in and bother Dan!" and to add to that the computers kept locking up or refused to print out the customers copies.
To make a long story short.... I didn't get those jobs done until about 12:30 in the morning. I didn't get a lunch all day. And I almost killed a lot of customers. Its all good though because I just got paid 3 1/2 hours of overtime.
Here is the one good thing that happened today. I did a job for this guy I know named Saihke (pronounced SAW-KEY). He is a record promoter. Well do you all know the musician "Jay Z"?
Well if you dont please dont feel bad cuz I didn't know who he was either. (A sign I am getting old). Anyway he is a singer/rapper who just sold like 8 million copies of his CD. I did a promotional poster for him today.
Saihke is going to get him to sign it so I can put it in my portfolio. I also did a Queen Latifa poster. They both turned out great. I'm excited. FINALLY I'm getting some nice jobs in my portfolio.
That is about it for my day. Or I might say this is all I can manage to type right now. I am about ready to collapse into my bed. I apologize for my site not being updated. My roommate is publishing these to the web, and his computer is down. So you are going to get a bunch of days all at once.
Scott (Scotty's World) told me about the web ring they have for online journals. I'm going to submit my journal to that in a few days. I am just waiting until I get a few more kinks out of it. Well everyone I hope you all sleep well. I know I will be!

I really dont know what is going on with me lately. If I were a girl, I think I would have some major PMS right now. I have been in the worst mood lately. Especially at work. I was just nasty to about everyone that walked in the door. Even little sweet old ladies.
Old Lady: Excuse me sir, but may I trouble you really quick?
Me: Hell no granny, get the hell outta here!
Now I really didn't say or do that. But that is what kind of attitude I have had. I think I'm still recovering from Sunday. I had two really annoying customers come in on Sunday, that also came in today to do follow-ups on their jobs. Maybe that is why I'm still feeling this way. Who knows.
Michele called in sick again today. I guess the doctor diagnosed her with pneumonia. I doubt I got that right. Michele is forever out of work. She is a single mother so when her daughter gets sick she has to stay home too. I can understand that, but it just gets aggravating when no one is there at work.
Dawn also had to go to the doctor today, so it was just me and Carlos. I am beginning to remember how much fun it was working with Dawn and Michele at the same time. A week usually never goes by when one of them is not absent at least one time.
A little history for all of you... Dawn used to work in the computer department, but got promoted to another department. Well, she got another promotion, but it is back in our department. Kind of confusing I know.
Our department is looking to hire a new graphic designer. Hopefully it will be someone good. Course I doubt they will be as good as me. Ha Ha... Just kidding I'm not actually that conceited.
I am really excited however about everything I'm learning right now as far as html and stuff. I am really digging this web stuff. I should have some new roll-over buttons up on my site soon so be looking for them. My site really looks cheesy right now. There is not a lot to it.
Lets see other news... I went grocery shopping today. Dont you hate it when you go and spend like a hundred bucks on groceries, you get home, put them all away. Then later on in the night you get hungry and go into the fridge and it seems like you only spent like 10 bucks. Where is all the food that you just bought???
My problem is I buy the wrong things at the grocery store. Things I really should be buying at Wal-mart or Target. The main reason for that is I can go into one of those stores and spend a fortune. "Ohhhh look Lawrence Welks greatest hits... I might need this when I turn 75!"
Well ok, I'm not really that bad. I just have to stay away from those stores though. My main weakness is CD's. I can always buy CD's. I found a great store called "Disc-O-Round" they sell used CD's for like 7 bucks. They are all in brand new condition too.
They also have this nice little machine that you can run your scratched CD's through to get out all those nasty scratches. I need to haul some of mine down there. I have a beatles CD that isn't even playing right now because of a humdinger I put in it.
Lets see... I think I have rambled on enough tonight. Time to head to dreamland. See you tomorrow.
