Well I finally went out with some friends. Actually I went over to Heather's. I showed up and Jenn was there with her roommate Kathleen. (Just need to add that Jenns roomie Kathleen is a hottie too - Insert Tiger Growl here) :)
We all BBQ'd Hamburgers and hot dogs. They had jello shots too. I had one. I would have had more but I'm fighting the cold and it had Vodka. Lets just say Vodka and me are worst enemies after that little high school spring break thing. I'm sure you can all figure that out for yourselves. I cant even smell the stuff without getting sick to my stomach.
Well anyway. We ate and had a good time. We then went to a local bar to do the karaoke thing. I hope I spelled that right. Let me just say this. I AM IN LOVE WITH JENN!!!!
The girl can sing like Alanis, Janis Joplin, Maddonna, and any other female singer. DAAAAMMMMNNNN WAS SHE GOOD!!!!! Every time she got up to sing she got the whole bar cheering for her. I didn't realize she was soo good.
Oh yeah, and to top all that off, There was an older guy there that also sang really good. He sang some older songs, but he sang them perfectly and he didn't use the teleprompter at all.
Well after a few songs, the lady running the whole karaoke deal figured out who the guy was. She announced it to the whole crowd. She was like, "I just wanted to tell you all that Donnie (I think that was his name) is a celebrity. Do you all know the song "I'm a girl watcher", well he sang it originally." That was soo cool. The guy is a really nice guy too. He sat at our table the whole night.
What a great night for karaoke eh? I had a great time tonight. I really needed that. Well I am going to call this entry short for the night. Last night I had a whopping 2 hours of sleep. I finally slept from 7 am to 9 am, then I had to be at work at 10. So goodnight and I will see you all soon!
9/23/98 "First Day of Fall"
Sitting here still learning html. I am still a bit confused about all this stuff, but I'm sure it will come to me with more practice.
I have the window open right now because it is actually colder outside. Hadley is sitting on the window sill. I can tell winter is on its way! Woo Hoo!!!! I am so sick of the heat and humidity. It is time to break out the winter clothes!
Michele is still sick at work. Luckily we have been slower at work. I told her to go to the doctor or she will be sick for at least 2 weeks. I am still coughing and hacking.
I can tell some people I help at work are like "get the hell away from me you hacking fool!" But they are not too bright on computers so they have no choice but sit and put up with me while I help them through their dilemma.
I could write a book on people and computers. I will share a quick story with you.
A lady comes into the computer dept. with a disk. She needed help opening her file, so I go over and start to open the file. After I hit the open button Norton Anti-virus picked up a virus in the file and flashed an alert.
The lady freaks out and asks what is going on. I'm like, "oh you have a virus." It turned out to be a little weenie virus that really doesn't do any damage. So I assure her its no big deal.
She then asks me what a virus is. I give her my usual spill about what virus's are and how they are made etc. She asks me if they are contagious. I replied, "yes they are in a sense. They can spread from computer to computer."
She then asked something that took all my control I had to not burst out in total laughter. "Are they contagious to humans?" Damn I was cracking up inside. I really wanted to say something like, "Oh yeah! You have to be real careful, I had to go to the doctor 3 times last year from virus's I caught." I controlled myself though.
Heather called me tonight to chat. That is cool. We talked for quite awhile. She and I are becoming better friends. Damn there is that word again... "Friends" Oh well some of the best relationships start out as friends right!
Well it is 2:15 am. I guess I better get my butt in bed. Willie is already crashed out. Now there is a surprised. If he's not in front of the food bowl he is asleep someplace. Maybe I should get him a bed and place it next to his food bowl. That way he wouldn't have to waste all that energy finding a place to sleep. Well good night!
