Genre: Punk (pop-punk) Official Website: http://get.to/huntingtons Discography: Big Hits and Nasty Cuts (unreleased, 1995?), Sweet Sixteen (1996), Rocket to Ramonia (cover, 1996), The Only One (single, 1997), Fun and Games (1997), You're Not Right (vinyl, 1998), High School Rock (1998), All the Stuff and More, Volume One (1998), The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1ive, 1999), File Under Ramones (cover, 1999), Get Lost (1999), Plastic Surgery (1999) Comments: Huntingtons originally started out as kind of a tribute band for The Ramones (they even have the leather jackets!), but blossomed into so much more. Their pop-punk sound is very reminiscent of the fathers of punk that they adore so much. I mean, these guys are mildly obsessed; two of their albulms are all covers of Ramones songs. But still, there more than that. They're also machines; they have pumped out more albulms in four years than you have fingers included four full-length CDs in 1999 alone! On top of that, they have a very infectious pop feel that'll get stuck in your head. These guys are just so cool, and, oh yeah, we don't care. |
