Chapter 6

So are you okay?

Yeah, Im fine why wouldnt I be?

Well...you were kind of quiet on the way home last night.

Well, you were too.

Yeah, well...I didnt know exactly what to say to you, I mean...I know it must of been weird to see her. Really uncomfortable I mean. And I know how me and the rest of the guys are always joking about you still liking her all the time. But I know last night must of been really hard for you.

Brian please...

No, seriously AJ. I mean, you say your over her but... Ive been there before man. I know it must of been horrible seeing her last night, especially with a new guy. You dont have to put on a front...I know it must of hurt.

See, thats where your wrong. Like I said, Im fine. She didnt shake me a bit. Yeah, it was weird and everything. But that was just because I was surprised to see her there, and I hadnt seen her in so long. I even talk to her on the balcony and it was cool. It was all good. AJ shrugged as he talked to Brain on the phone. Okay well...Im just saying. If you ever need to talk or something...

Im fine, will you quite already. AJ interrupted him. Okay, fine. Well me and Kevin will be waiting for you at Chubbys.

Okay, Ill be there in a few. AJ said hanging up the phone.  He was on his way to meet Kevin and Brain for lunch. He told Brain he wasnt shaken by seeing serenity but he had been. Deep down he knew he was. But he figured if he told himself he wasnt, and if he acted like he wasnt, and if he told everyone else he wasnt then, he simply... just wasnt. As he drove in his car he put in his new Korn CD. He rocked his head to the sound of the drums that blasted from the speakers.

He felt as if he was ready for a change. He wanted to do something...something different. He just didnt know what. Maybe it was time for him to try doing a solo CD, he thought to himself. Naw, that was just Serenity talking in his head. That was the real change he needed in his life...Once and for all he needed to get her out of his head, out of his mind...out of his heart. Maybe it was time for him to find someone new?

As he thought to himself the CD started to skip. Dangit! He said as he looked down. He tried tapping it, but nothing happened. He then pushed the eject button, but the CD wouldnt budge. Great, just great! He pushed the button again. Sh!t! Stupid CD player! He cursed as he tried to make the CD come out. He then heard a loud car horn and he looked up quickly. The last thing he saw was a red car coming from the left and then...darkness.
