Lots of e-mails to reply to, taking up to 5 days at the moment (unless really urgent)
Too many chat requests to respond to all of them - sorry if we miss you
Too many chat requests to respond to all of them - sorry if we miss you
Not enough time to open chatrooms at the moment, nothing planned for now
Web-cam is off, possibly on weekend of 12th & 13th July
As usual, we're in a mentally unstable state and could breakdown at any monent
Upated 27th June 2003:  Very busy at the moment.  Probably be like this for at least a week.  See the waffle at the bottom of the page.
ICQ HAS OVERLOADED

ICQ has various limits built in and we've reached them - basically it's full and we can't add anyone.  If someone isn't added then it's not possible to send or receive files or to open an ICQ chat window.  There's various other things that can't be done including changing a persons alert or accept status so it's not possible to prevent the annoying message you get each time you send a message (if you're using Trillian, Miranda or something similar you don't get this message anyway).  The only way we can get round this is to add people to different ICQ accounts.

There's also a limit to the number of messages which can be received at any one time. When we reach the limit no new messages are received - to the person sending them there's nothing to indicate the message hasn't been received.  We always reply to every message, sometimes it takes a long time but we do always reply.

If you don't receive a reply it's not because we're ignoring you but because the message was never received.

ICQ seems to have the following limits: In any one group the maximum is 199 or 250, the maximum contacts on one list is 600, the maximum messages at any one time is 99.
You can run several ICQ accounts at once and for this you need
ICQ Multi Launcher.

GENERAL WAFFLE

Blah, blah blah, what's all this about ?  Oh yes, we're hard to contact cos we're really busy and are out a lot.
The computers are always turned on even when we're out and all chat services are permenantly in Do Not Disturb or Busy modes.  At the moment it's taking a long time to reply to most e-mails and chat messages - as mentioned above, we're not ignoring you (the only people we ignore are the rude and offensive ones).  Haven't got time right now for web-cam, besides, need to buy a USB Hub (I think) and the chat rooms are awkward as well - somehow we've lost one, one day it was there and the next it had gone, let us know of you find a chat room lying around somewhere as it might be ours and if there's people trapped inside can you let them out cos they've been there for ages.
