Saddened by Greedy's lack of concern for them, the peasants were getting restless. They had nothing to eat and were losing their patience and trust with him. When the peasants asked for his help, Greedy refused, telling them they should get jobs at the factories or go to the food banks. Disappointed and suffering with malnutrition, they went home with heads hung low to bring the unhappy news to their children. Greedy did not realize that the factories were laying off employees and the food banks were picked clean. As far as he was concerned he had more important things to do and as long as there was money coming in from the business, what was there to worry about?
As Greedy and Blue Bell started dating, they grew closer together. Estatic, Greedy soon realized that the princess Blue Bell was falling in love with him. One evening when she was coming over to pick Greedy up for one of those dates, Blue Bell overheard Greedy mistreating the servants. Angrily, she stormed out of the castle and went home. Before long, Greedy found it apperent that he was in love with Blue Bell. With deep regret, he learned that she was shacked up with Prince Charming after her mother and her evil stepfather died of starvation, peasants he refused to help. Before he knew it, his life was falling apart. Greedy had spent every penny that he had. The factories were forced to shut down and his people were starving. Reluctantly, Greedy had to sell everything he owned to survive. He even lost the castle. Forced to live in a car, Greedy began to see what he had done to his people, knowing he could have prevented it. Devastated, Greedy also knew that he had lost theonly woman he would ever love.
A few days later, Greedy noticed that the trunk to the car was ajar. As he looked in he discovered a briefcase full of buried treasure. Without a second thought, he grabbed the briefcase and ran around the city dropping money off at every peasants door. Greedy told them how sorry he was and asked them for forgiveness. as he came to the last house, Greedy came face to face with Blue Bell. Speechless, he handed her the money and walked away knowing this would be the last time he would envision her beauty.
When the news spread of what King Greedy had done, peasants fron all over the city came to thank him. Greedy was happy for them. Somehow he knew that his father would forgive him for the damage he caused and he was finally able to keep his promise after all. As the last of the crowd dispersed, Greedy spotted Princess Blue Bell walking towards him. She began to tell him that he was forgiven and loved Greedy very much. In the summer, when all the flowers began to bloom, Greedy and Blue Bell were married. After the ceremony they went on their honeymoon and moved to a cottage in the suburbs. They had seven little dwarfs and lived happily ever after.
