Let me begin my genealogy section by posing a philosophical question to all who visit my site.
The question is: Is there life after birth?
For all the genealogists who visit this page, my full name is James Hinton Monds, III. The surnames that I am researching in my personal ancestry are: Allen, Barefoot, Bell, Bulls (Bools), Bundy, Capps, Cashwell, Davis, Edwards, Flowers, Godwin, Handley, Holly, Holt, Howell, Jean (Gean), Jernigan, Lee, McDougall, Monds (Munn, Munds), Pipkin, Raynor, Register, Stanley, Strickland, Sullivan, Talton, Tew, Thornton, Tyndall, Warren, Weeks, and Williford. The geographical area that I am researching is Sampson County, NC, and the surrounding counties - especially Cumberland, Duplin, Harnett, Johnston, and Wayne County.
In the navigation table below are links to pages of information for the main lines of my ancestry. The opening page for each surname contains a descendant outline for the persons in that line. I have links to the Genforums for each surname and, when I have images of an individual listed, I have hyperlinked his or her name to a separate page. In the Monds-Cashwell section the name of my great grandfather, Rev. Gaston Barnabus Cashwell - who was a key founder in the pentecostal religious movement - is linked to a page with his image and some text concerning his accomplishments. I will continue to add images and text to the names in my family lines as I am able to do so. For those with a special interest in the Monds surname and its variations (Munn, Munns, Munds, etc.), I have started a web ring in Yahoo that you can search or link to through the navigation bar below. Please note that the top left link will take you to a page of featured genealogy resources and search tools, including a link to the Heartland Genealogy Society web ring.
