This page contains links to some very useful genealogy resources and to some search engines - especially the Ancestry.com search engine. This site is a member of the Heartland Genealogy Society and its navigation bar is immediately below. HGS is a society of genealogists who have web sites in Yahoo-Geocities. They have pages of data for many surnames and family lines.

The first link that I have immediately below will take you to the Rootsweb homepage where you can search for North Carolina resources - such as query boards, bible records, deeds, etcetera - for each county in the Rootsweb Genweb system in North Carolina. Below that are links to my Family Tree Maker genealogy page; and my pages in Angelfire that deal with history, genealogy, time, and books related to those topics. At the bottom of this page I have links to the Barnes & Noble search engine for books or any other item they may carry, to the Geocities general search engine, and to the Switchboard people and business search engine. If you have not tried the Geocities search engine, you should. In addition, I have placed below a search engine banner for the Ancestry.com commercial genealogy web site. They offer both free and paid genealogy resources that are targeted to a wide range of specific needs and interests in the realm of family research. If you have never tried the resources they have available, you should take this opportunity to do so.
