During the last year the “MOVVF” has sponsored 3
full time service officers to help
all Veterans
with any claims they have with the VA, helped
keep 7 families (2 Vietnam & 5 Iraq/Afghanistan
deployed National Guard/Reserve) from becoming
homeless, paid for 15 Veterans training sessions.
With your
participation we will be able to expand our giving.
THE
PURPOSE of the (MOVVF) is to help foster, encourage
and promote improvement of the conditions of the
Vietnam Veteran, eliminate discrimination of the
Vietnam Veteran and to promote education,
employment, training and health of the Vietnam
Veteran and assist
the more recent Veterans
in all issues that arise before, during and after
their deployment. Of
the 700,000 US troops who served in Kuwait and Iraq
in 1991, a disproportionate number experienced
serious neurological disorders. More than 65 percent
have sought health care for service-related
ailments. Nearly 200,000 are receiving disability
compensation -- twice the rate as vets from World
War II, Korea and Vietnam.
