| Weeks later� Amanda and Howie would take walks to the park every night and float around to marvel in the park�s beauty, but one evening Howie was really nervous. He had to tell Amanda something and he wasn�t sure how she was going to react to it. Howie: Amanda? Amanda: Yeah? Howie swallowed a lump in his throat and his palms began to sweat. Howie: Umm, well, I have something to tell you. Amanda: What is it? Howie: This is really important, and I�m saying sorry early for not telling you sooner. Amanda was getting all these different ideas of what he was going to tell her, like he had cancer or something. Howie: I�I�m, well, I�m a Backstreet Boy! � Have you ever heard of us? Amanda: I think so, oh, oh I have. That�s why you guys looked familiar to us before. We�ve seen you on Much Music! Howie was relived that she didn�t get mad at him for not telling her earlier. Amanda: (smiling) So� Am I dating someone famous and important? Howie: (laughing) Yes you are! Howie started to tickle her. Amanda fell to the ground laughing while Howie tickled her more. Amanda: So, why are you telling me this now? Howie: Because the rest of the guys and I wanted you girls to know, mostly because we started to feel guilty for knowing your secret, but you not knowing ours. Amanda: Who�s going to tell my friends? Howie: Oh, the other guys said they would deal with it, because they thought that I was going to get a rough time telling you. A couple of minutes later� Amanda: I guess we better get home. Howie: (smiling) Yeah, we don�t want what happened the first time to happen again! Amanda just hit Howie on the arm, because she knew that he was teasing her about what happened with her friends that one morning from their first official date. |
