| Chapter 1 |
| So, Diana. How do you like your new family so far? Asked Dianas adoptive father. His thick British accent made it a bit hard for her to understand. She was British. She was born there in Kent, England. But her parents were German, so she heard German accents all the time before her parents died in a car accident after they moved back to Britain two years before. Alright, I guess. Diana mumbled. She had moved into her new home a month earlier. She didnt exactly like her adoptive brother whom was 3 years older than her. His name was Thomas. He went to Eton College and was going into his last year of high school. That faithful day Thomas brought one of his friends over to the house. Diana was sitting on the couch reading one of her many books. Im home, and Wills here too. Thomas called through the house. When they reached the living room doorway Thomas peered in. Hey, Diana. I want you to meet me mate Wills. Wills meet me new sister Diana. Thomas introduced Diana and William to each other. Its very nice to meet you Diana. My mother had the very same name. Said William. Really, how wonderful. It must be a pleasure to meet you since youre a mate of my dear new brother Thomass. Diana said with sarcasm. She already knew something about William just by being near him. It was a presence that she could tell on anybody. It was the presence of a hunter. William could sense the sarcasm in her voice. He found Diana to be a rude young lady, but since she was a lady of the house now he would have to be nice to her around other people. Have you been comfortable in your new home, Diana? He asked nicely. Yes, if you count being cooped up in your house all day long for the summer, comfortable. Diana again said with sarcasm. Dont mind her Wills. We should get going, anyway. Thomas said quickly. He could see the tension rising in the air between them. Thomas led William up the stairs to his room. |
