Chapter 3
William stared at the ground. It wasnt until he heard a girl calling Taras name that he looked up and turned around. Youre looking for Tara? He asked the girl. Lisa looked at the man who just spoke to her. Prince William was looking at her with tears in his eyes. Yeah, I am. Im Taras friend Lisa. Lisa stuck her hand out to William. He took her hand and shook it. Ive heard a lot about you William. Tara misses you a lot you know. Lisa told him. He still had tears threatening to come, but he managed some words without the tears coming down. I miss her a lot too. He said. You were just talking to her, werent you? Asked Lisa. William looked back down at the ground. Lisa could see tears dripping onto the sidewalk. Yeah, I was. But she left without even letting me say 5 words to her. William said sadly. Shes just scared, William. Give her time. Lisa said to William. He looked back at Lisa with his tear stained face. Will you try to convince her to see me? He asked. Ive been trying to convince her for the past year and a half. But Ill try again. Lisa said. Thanks. Was Williams reply, he turned and walked down the street with his head low.
Tara watched everything. When she saw William walk away with his head low, her heart sank. She felt really bad for making William to go through this. She walked to Lisa when William was out of sight. I thought you left. Said Lisa. Not really, I was hiding. Tara explained. You shouldnt do this to him. Go see him and talk, try to work everything out. Lisa suggested. I cant Lisa, its too hard. She said. Why is it too hard? Is it because you love him back or is it because you dont wanna get killed? Lisa asked Tara. Its both and more Lisa! I miss him too much to see him, because then Ill give in and then when some crazy psycho killer comes after him, Im gonna get killed and if William is killed than Ill have to live without my true love! Tara said. And the fact that Im a frickin catholic doesnt exactly help much either. She added.
When William returned home he was soaked to the bone. It had started raining while he was walking home. William look at you, youre all wet my dear boy! Williams father Charles exclaimed. Dont worry father, Im fine. William said and walked straight up the stairs to his room. Charles watched his eldest son walk to his room sadly. He had been that way since Tara had left. He would come home from school or somewhere else and go straight to his room.
William plopped down on his bed and started to cry. When it was time for dinner Harry knocked on Williams door. William? Its time for dinner. Harry said through the door. When he didnt get an answer he opened the door and found William on his bed. William looked at his brother and sighed. Harry could see his red puffy eyes from crying. Ill be right down. Said William. Harry went downstairs and sat down at the dinner table. How is he? Asked Charles. Hes the same as always, but this time he didnt take the time to get ride of the puffy eyes. I guess he was still crying when I got to his room. Harry said. At that moment William walked into the dinning room. William, we have to have a serious talk about you. Said Charles. William sighed and sat down looking at his plate.
During dinner Charles started the conversation. William, tell us whats wrong. Nothings wrong. William said simply. Now dont tell me that! We all know that there is something wrong, youve been like this since Tara left Is that it? Is Tara the problem? Asked Charles. William sat in silence. William, please tell us. Begged Harry.
